What is
Long-Term Care Insurance?

Long-Term Care Insurance is different from traditional health insurance, as it is designed to cover long-term services, support, and care. This care may take place in your home, community, or other facility. Policies reimburse policyholders (up to a set limit) for services to assist with daily activities like eating, dressing, or bathing.

Regular health insurance does not cover long-term care, so if you don’t have insurance to cover long-term care, in most states, you’ll have to pay for it yourself. However, Washington State Legislature has established long-term care insurance benefits for qualified, eligible individuals which will be available in 2026.
